Story of Jimmy Choo's trip to Sydney
Little Jimmy, the big appetite and chubbiest boy of the litter was the first to leave the pack. He is also the first and only of Lily's pups to fly on a plane and breathe Sydney air.

The day Jimmy was picked up by his new family |
The Choo family is my brother's friend's good friend from Sydney who flew down to Melbourne with his family for a holiday/work. They had the opportunity to meet all the puppies when they were only four weeks old. Their daughter, Mel, fell in love with the puppies and even one of them fell asleep on her arms - she was great with the pups and as such, I couldn't wait to share the news with the family that 'Yes! I am happy to hold a boy for you!'
On the day Jimmy was due to leave the pack, I knew that he would be experiencing one heck of an overwhelming 24 hours. I was envisioning his thoughts and feelings because he wouldn't know what happens next but I did. I knew that Jimmy would be picked up in the late evening, meet new faces, spend the night with a new stranger (who will be his new family). Then in the next morning, he will be passed on to a team of pet quarantine in the airport, placed in the aeroplane hearing the engine noise of the plane that may be very uncomfortable for his sensitive ears for at least two hours straight. Upon arrival, he must be glad to breathe the outside air again and finally reach his new home to meet the Choo family members and friends. That's A LOT to deal with for the little one!

Picture from Henry - Jimmy in his crate before the plane ride in Melbourne |
Jimmy had a bit of stressful day before he left the pack. Poor little boy needed a bath, and it was his first bath, unfortunately on a cold winter day too. He was crying and swiggling the whole time trying to escape water. Luckily I wore an apron and I managed to only have my sleeves wet. Blow drying him was also quite stressful for him. The sound and strong warm breeze freaked him out and here I am trying to keep him dry and sick-free, he was screaming and swiggling saying 'help me!! get me the %#$*@ here now!'

Stay warm buddy - you are not completely dry yet! |
All is well now for Jimmy. He doesn't need to go through anymore commotion and can rest assure that his new life in Sydney will be very exciting and full of tender loving care from the Choo's. Henry updated me that Jimmy is currently attending puppy school! How exciting!! If Lily can understands pictures and recognises Jimmy in the picture below, I think she will be just as proud as me =)
