Day 13 - First sight

It is Easter Monday today and also a rainy day. This morning, we strangely lost electricity for half an hour. Then towards mid-day and in a half hour gap, we experienced a short span of hail together with strong gusty wind followed by bright sunshine after the hail stopped. Within a few hours again, the cycle continued with pouring rain and chilly winds. I am dressed like it is winter and the house was cold enough to convince me that the central heating should be switched on at home. You gotta love autumn in Melbourne!

And how are the puppies? Sleeeeeeeping all day as usual. They have grown bigger and chubbier. The edge of their tail now have a little hook at the tip so that their tails will curl when they grow bigger.

Exciting news today! I noticed that two pups (one boy and one girl) have opened their eyes while the other two are almost there. Lily helps the process by licking their eyes like in the picture below.

The video above shows you two pups with their eyes open, while Lily is busy cleaning the other pup. I advice you to watch the video with no sound unless you want to hear my brother (calling out) asking me whether there is rubbish I'd like to throw (because it is rubbish collection day tomorrow).

Puppies will be experiencing their first grooming and worming session with me tomorrow evening as they turn 2 weeks old. It will be nails trimming time so that they won't scratch Lily while competing to suckle for milk and also worming time with Drontal! I don't think they will enjoy that.. who does don't you agree?
