Day 28 - They can eat!

Happy FOUR Weeks!
Say cheeeeeese!
This period is one of the first crucial phase for the puppies - The Imprinting Phase. This is the phase where the puppies will need a lot of TLC from people and their mum, Lily. It is said that this is the time where the puppies should be exposed to different types of food. Not only will it help expose their taste buds to a whole new level, they will also be less fussy eaters as a dog.

AT Four Weeks, the puppies have fully developed their senses that is Sight,  Sound,  Smell,  Taste and Touch. They are capable of eating as well, so I started introducing Nutro's Lamb Can Food to their diet as Lily is weaning them off. Their first meat was lamb =) Yes they now have teeth!!

Lily was blocked as she tried squeezing her way closer to her pups while I was trying  to take pictures.

This is a very exciting time but it also means A LOT of cleaning. They can pee and poo by themselves now without Lily's help so it has become a daily routine for me to clean and mop the whelping box, and layering papers everyday. This takes up about 1-2 hours of my time per day depending if it is washing day as well. Not to mention the smell..I can't put a word to describe the smell, so I guess I have to make it up.. shall we say "after-milk" smell..? Give it a few more days when they start eating more variety of food.. it'd be milk + poo??? Whilst it can seem time consuming, it is actually therapeutic.. looks like I am almost there to become a full-fledge house wife.

Hello puppy!!

I did miss a week's worth of blogging as I was very busy with work.. yep it hasn't stopped!! So to make it up, here some pictures when they were Three Weeks Old. At the time, the puppies have that sort of look that is Cute at some angle and "elfy-like" because of their ears and shape of their face. I'll leave you to make your own judgement!

I'm still looking for potential families for the pups. So to families out there who love this breed, I am looking for you and can't wait to hear from you!
